WASHINGTON — Nominations are open for new members of the Plastics Hall of Fame.
Nominations must be submitted no later than Sept. 26, 2014. New members will be inducted at a reception held to kick off the NPE2015 trade show in Orlando.
The Washington-based Society of the Plastics Industry Inc. coordinates the nominating process on behalf of the Plastics Academy. Officials of the academy make up the initial screening committee that selects up to 12 nominated individuals for consideration by all living members of the Plastics Hall of Fame. Members of the hall eventually select up to nine inductees.
Nomination forms can be obtained here, or by emailing Jane Mott Palmer at SPI — [email protected]. Or call Mott-Palmer at 202-974-5224.
“Election into the Plastics Hall of Fame is the greatest honor bestowed on individuals in our industry,” said Jay Gardiner, president of the Plastics Academy. “These are people who, through their tireless dedication and extraordinary accomplishments, have significantly contributed to the advancement of the plastics industry. We encourage nominations from both individuals and companies in the plastics industry worldwide.”
