At K 2013, Andritz Group presented a new high-speed film stretching line that can handle up to 600 meters a minute, as well as technology called MESKIM (mechanical simultaneous stretching system).
"Our main goal is to develop customized technologies that enhance the productivity of customers' plants, minimize operating costs and increase energy efficiency and environmental protection," said Gernot Czerny, vice president of the maker of equipment for biaxial orientation
MESIM does the stretching in both longitudinal and transverse direction simultaneously, in one step. It also gives the option of adjusting the stretching ratio over a wide range.
On the high-output line, Andritz will present its new automation system for comprehensive local supervision, integrated safety functions and advanced operator training.
Andritz is based in Graz, Austria.
