Ferry Industries Inc. of Stow, Ohio, introduced its next generation RS-2600 at an Oct., 1, 2013, open house during the Cleveland ARM conference.
It featured aspects of closed-loop technology, through a new control system called RotoCure IPC (integrated process control) that has on-board integration of Rotolog, IRT and other systems such as the 493K products.
Ferry is using a new modular wiring system that allows for each module (such as the oven, cooler, each arm and the center post) to operate as an independent sub-system. That means the modules, linked via an Ethernet connection, become “plug-and-play” elements, with minimal wiring required by the installer or the customer.
Other features of the next generation RS-2600 include faster speeds for indexing the independent arms and opening and closing doors, energy savings through a new oven shape that cuts the oven volume by 15 percent and a new burner system and a variable-frequency drive on the oven air-circulation and exhaust fans.
