WASHINGTON — A leading plastics trade group is getting on board with 3-D printing.
A new annual exhibition, NPE3D: The Manufacturing Industry's Global 3D Conference and Solutions Fair, will make its debut at NPE 2015 in Orlando, Fla., the Society of the Plastics Industry Inc. announced Jan 22.
"NPE 2015 will be the perfect inaugural setting for a learning fair about 3-D printing, providing a built-in exhibitor base and an audience of more than 60,000 industry professionals, many of whom have an intense need to know about this trailblazing technology," said Gene Sanders, SPI's senior vice president of trade shows and conferences, in a news release.
After the inaugural NPE3D, held March 23-27, 2015, the exhibition will be held every year, in different locations, collocating with NPE every three years.
The event will feature exhibits and demonstrations of 3-D printing and will explore advances in 3D printing for designers, toolmakers, and processors.
