Profile producer Sunbelt Plastic Extrusions Inc. is expanding to the tune of $3 million in Centerville, Ga., the company announced in a news release.
Sunbelt has opened a new manufacturing facility in Centerville and is adding six new extrusion lines to the new plant.
The 16,000-square-foot new facility and equipment will boost Sunbelt's production capability by about 40 percent, according to Sunbelt general manager Tim Roberts. Its headquarters plant in Centerville has 43,000 square feet.
The company specializes in complex, custom extrusions for signage, price rails, display rails, aisle directories and a variety of other commercial, industrial and consumer products. It can extrude multilayer constructions and dual durometer products and offers a range of downstream operations to make and package finished goods.
It processes butyrate, rigid PVC, ABS, high-impact polystyrene, acrylics and polycarbonate.
Sunbelt employs about 75 and expects to add 20 more when the expansion is completed. In late summer of 2012 it was acquired by point-of-purchase display producer Southern Imperial Inc. of Rockford, Ill., and began its expansion program about six months later.
