Plastic shapes maker Cast Nylons Ltd. is looking to expand by acquiring a building near its headquarters site in Willoughby, Ohio.
The building is located across the street from the two buildings CNL already operates, according to an article in the Feb. 19 edition of the Lake County News-Herald. Willoughby City Council approved a municipal tax incentive agreement for the expansion on Feb. 18.
CNL is negotiating to buy the building, which previously housed an organic food supply store. The firm plans to add 25 jobs in the next three years and 35 in the next five years, due in part to new sales from Canada and Mexico, company officials said in the article.
The city previously approved a tax incentive for CNL in 2010. That expansion was expected to create 18 jobs, but eventually created 25.
CNL describes itself on the firm's website as "the premier producer of cast nylon in North America." The firm's products includes sheet, rods, tubular bars and custom-cast components sold under the Nycast trade name.
