Vectorply Corp. is offering lighter-weight, non-crimp carbon fiber fabrics for engineered reinforced plastics.
The Phenix, Ala., firm installed a new Liba Max 5 machine, the first of its kind in North America, the company claims. The machine extends Vectorply's capabilities in multiaxial, spread-tow carbon reinforcements for marine, aerospace, defense, sports, transportation, wind energy and other markets where light weight and strength are paramount.
The advanced carbon fabrics extend Vectorply's wide range of reinforcement fabrics it makes in the United States, China and England.
