Dynisco LLC's Vertex mercury-free sensor has won another award. The Environmental Division of the Society of Plastics Engineers presented the company with a 2014 Environmental Stewardship Award on March 14 at the division annual Global Plastics Environmental Conference in Orlando, Fla.
“Dynisco and the Vertex sensor have won several awards for innovation and our simplified design and manufacturing process, but this is our first ‘green' award,” said Dynisco President John Biagioni. “This is particularly gratifying since one of our main objectives in developing Vertex was to make a sensor that would allow plastics processors to eliminate toxic mercury from their plant and waste stream.”
Dynisco is based in Franklin, Mass.
