Tasnee Saudi Ethylene & Polyethylene Co., the Saudi Arabian maker of polyethylene and polypropylene, has purchased its third Mobile DeDuster from Pelletron Corp., through its sister company, Pelletroneurope GmbH in Bodnegg, Germany.
Pelletron is based in Lancaster, Pa.
The DeSuster, designed for bagging machine capacity of 50 metric tons an hour, has reduced the dust and streamers created during pneumatic conveying, to a level of just 50 parts per million.
The dust and streams had been accumulating in the resin silos, causing a high level of contamination of the plastic pellets. The only way to remove it before loading a truck or bagging the resin was to remove the dust and streamers below the silo outlet. The low construction height of the DeDuster allowed it to be installed directly on top of the bagging machine.
The fan for the cleaning air, the cyclone separator for dust and the inline filter are installed in a separate mobile unit that gets connected to the bagging machine after positioning of the bagging machine under a silo.
