Nissei Plastic Industrial Co. Ltd. has updated an old favorite, the FVX series of large-tonnage hybrid injection molding machines, to bring out the FVX-III Series.
The new FVX-III comes in five clamping force sizes, from 560 tons to 1,300 tons. There are nine configurations and various injection unit sizes.
The key feature is the TACT IV controller, with a large 15-inch screen, newly designed operator panel and convenient and user-friendly software. Nissei also has updated quality and production management functions.
The TACT-IV is also used on Nissei's NEX-III Series of electric presses.
Other features for the hybrid presses include its direct pressure clamping mechanism and the hybrid X-pump design. Direct pressure gives low-pressure clamping performance, and transmits clamping force accurately. The X-Pump gives the advantage of hydraulic drive and electric drive. The servomotor drives the pump only when it is necessary.
Nissei is based in Nagano, Japan. Nissei America Inc. is in Anaheim, Calif.
