SHANGHAI — Malaysian plastic packaging and industrial film manufacturer GT-Max Plastic Industries SDN. BHD. has launched a new line that can produce 9-layer film, said sales manager Cindy Sin, in an interview with Plastics News at Chinaplas in Shanghai.
“We're aiming to open a new market,” Sin said, explaining that the company's current customers are mostly ASEAN countries. “We want to explore more out of Asia to see if there is an opportunity.
Sin said that due to the global economy, their company did not do so well last year. “It was OK, but we didn't see very significant growth,” she said. “It's picking up slowly this year.”
She added that the company plans to invest in more machinery by the end of the year, but would not specify further details.
