Officials of NFM Welding Engineers Inc. are targeting Latin America, signing up Peru-based Noblecorp to sell NFM's TEM Series of co-rotating, intermeshing twin-screw extruders.
NFM is the exclusive North American manufacturer and seller of TEM extruders, under license from Japan-based Toshiba Machine Co. Ltd. NFM is based in Massillon, Ohio.
Founded in 1942 by Heinz Harry Cohn, Noble is now managed by its third generation family ownership. Noble's core business is the distribution of industrial machinery for the plastics, metals, printing and packaging industries.
Jan van Bakergem, NFM's global managing director for compounding systems, and Noble President John Cohn coordinated the agreement, which covers Peru, Chile and Colombia.
“We've had a number of successful co-rotating twin installations for olefin, color and nanoclay compounding over the past few years, primarily in Mexico,” van Bakergem said. “We're excited about the new markets and established network which Noble brings to further solidify NFM's presence in Latin America.”
