Molded Rubber & Plastics Corp. recently celebrated the grand opening of its 15,000-square-foot expansion to its factory in Butler, Wis., near Milwaukee.
MRPC said it invested $2.5 million in the expansion. It projects 10-15 percent annual growth over the next five years and 35-40 new employees.
The project broke ground in May 2013 and brings the total size of the plant to 100,000 square feet. The new addition opened in January and features additional clean rooms, office space and employee support space.
The facility's total clean room space now sits at 35,000 square feet. The firm said it will enable it to meet the increased demand for silicone molding, multiple-material molding, micromolding, medical molding and thermoplastic molding.
MRPC manufactures medical device components and assemblies.
“We are committed to investing in Milwaukee and the medical device manufacturing industry,” said MRPC President Greg Riemer. “MRPC is continually evolving to maintain our position as industry leaders on the cutting edge of technology, and this expansion supports our continued growth and innovation.”
The firm was recently named by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel as a 2014 top workplace in Southeastern Wisconsin.
