Arburg GmbH + Co. KG celebrated 25 years in Spain, as about 70 guests attended an anniversary party at Barcelona's Museum of Contemporary Art on June 5. Guests came from Spain and Portugal, as well as a delegation from Arburg headquarters in Lossburg, Germany.
Arburg managing partner Renate Keinrath presented Martin Cayre, manager of the subsidiary in Spain, with a commemorative sculpture.
The following day about 90 customers visited the Arburg facility to learn about medical technology and liquid silicone rubber processing at an open house.
Arburg delivered its first injection molding machine to a customer in Spain in 1962. In 1989, the company founded a subsidiary in Sabadell, Spain, in Catalonia. Today Arburg also has technology centers in Madrid and Barcelona.
The German machinery maker has 25 employees in Spain — 14 of them service technicians.
