KraussMaffei AG has supplied Germany-based BSH Bosch and Siemens Hausgeräte with four injection molding machines for use in China, the company has announced.
KraussMaffei says that its large MX-series machines will be delivered to the BSH facility in Nanjing from its Chinese plant in Haiyan. The machines will then be used to produce washing machine tubs.
Two of the machines have already been installed and two more are set to follow over the summer, they are the first to be supplied to BSH directly from KraussMaffei's production plant in China.
BSH currently manufactures tubs in three large injection molding plants in Russia, Turkey and China.
“The complete integration of fully proven automation technology to control the injection molding machines gave our solution an added bonus. Furthermore, our local presence, that is to say our plant in Haiyan and our facility in Shanghai, means that we can respond quickly to queries from customers, in terms of both service and application or machine technology,” said Carl Deng, project manager at KraussMaffei.
“We would never doubt KraussMaffei's expertise in application technology or the efficiency and versatility of their injection molding machines and automation systems. What's more, their local team has given us their firm and qualified support at every stage of the project. We were impressed by their excellent project management skills and sophisticated service concept,” said Tong Zhifeng, product manager for BSH.
KraussMaffei's MX series of machines, which are manufactured and assembled locally in China, are designed for use in the automotive, electronics, packaging and transport industries.
