Italy-based Cannon SpA will roll out its technology for polyurethane and composites processing at Fakuma 2014, the trade show in Friedrichshafen, Germany, Oct. 14-18, with a stand managed by Cannon Deutschland GmbH, its affiliate since 1983.
Products will include six or totally redesigned high-pressure mixing heads; a range of automotive equipment to make seats and car interior parts, including a dedicated machine for applying clear coating, a range of industrial thermoforming machines, ESTRIM, a molding solution for the epoxy-based fast resin transfer molding process , and special equipment for making epoxy formulations for the wind power industry.
The company also will show the Cannon V.A.I. (Vacuum Assisted Injection) technology, used to make refrigerators and sandwich panels, used in combination with Dow Chemical Co.'s Pascal and Pascal PRO PUR chemical technology. Cannon will present a new kit for the conversion of existing polymerization presses for discontinuous foaming of sandwich panels.
Also new at Fakuma: the first results of the CRESIM project (Carbon Recycled by Epoxy Special Impregnation. The work aims to develop methods to use recycled carbon fibers.
