Dart Container Corp. plans to construct a multimillion-dollar warehouse in Kentucky that will add 30 jobs.
The $23 million project will create a 650,000-square-foot warehouse at the company's Horse Cave, Ky., operations that make cups, lids, bowls, plates and deli containers, according to Gov. Steve Beshear's office.
“Our food and beverage industry continues to stand out as one of the best in the nation, and we owe a lot of that success to quality suppliers like Dart Container,” the governor said in a statement.
Dart has been in Horse Cave for 34 years and currently employs 1,400 folks there in 3 million square feet of space.
The Hart County project is in line to receive up to $900,000 in tax incentives and benefits, the governor's office said.
Dart has expanded its Horse Cave operations 11 times over the years.
“Kentucky has been a great location for Dart because we can attract and retain excellent employees with diverse skills and a strong work ethic,” said James Lammers, Dart executive vice president of administration, in a statement.
