Foam products manufacturer FXI has added a manufacturing facility in Orange, Calif.
The Media, Pa.-based company offers foam solutions for the automotive industry, shipping fragile electronic components, bedding and furniture as well as gaskets and seals.
FXI President and CEO John Cowles said: “Our Orange facility is critical to supporting our customers in Southern California and the Western part of the United States and we are extremely pleased to complete this purchase.
“This demonstrates our commitment to our local customers as well as our national customers that require a robust manufacturing footprint,” said Cowles.
According to the press release, the facility uses patented variable pressure foaming (VPFSM) technology, which it claims is “the most environmentally-friendly foam manufacturing process on the market, resulting in virtually zero emissions.”
Terms of the transaction were not released. FXI purchased the facility from an affiliate of Sares-Regis Group.
