Plastics News is correcting prices for recycled grades of several commodity resins on this week's resin pricing chart.
The corrections are intended to show changes in those markets that have occurred since early 2013. Prices for recycled materials have been affected by demand for recycled-content products, as well as by supply and demand and feedstock economics for prime commodity resins.
The corrections will show prices for recycled grades of low density and linear low density polyethylene each up an average of 7 cents per pound and prices for recycled grades of solid polystyrene and PVC each up an average of 6 cents per pound.
A downward correction is being shown for recycled grades of polypropylene, which are down an average of 4 cents per pound in that time period.
