Selters, Germany-based Schütz GmbH & Co. KGaA, a plastic and steel transport packaging manufacturer, has announced the opening of its production facility in Indonesia.
Schütz, which has been operating in Jakarta since 2005 with a distribution company, last month officially opened its site in Karawang. The new factory was built in 2013.
The company states that the new subsidiary further strengthens delivery security and shortens transport distances in the South-East Asian market. It also says that the advantages of being near to its customers include reduced use of fuels, a better eco balance and higher cost efficiency.
Schütz's states that its portfolio includes secure transport packaging for a wide range of filling goods including acids, varnishes, paints or concentrates, foods and cosmetics.
