Kudos on Plastics News recognition of the 2014 “Rising Stars.” [Aug. 11 special report]
Workforce development is probably the most important issue facing the manufacturing industries, of which plastics is one of the largest.
Your article does an excellent job of showing how our industry has reversed some of its paradigms, and that the new breed of managers is embracing the need for environmental respect and sustainability . It also proves that the supposed “good-old boys club” is seeing the light and realizing the benefits of allowing young talent to rise to the top in a much more rapid fashion than previous generations.
Thanks for a positive and uplifting illustration of how the Plastic Industry is embracing change, and positioning itself for the long run.
