Additives maker Addivant has resumed production of its Trimene Base-brand curing agent for natural and synthetic rubber compounds.
Danbury, Conn.-based Addivant now is making Trimene Base on a make-to-order basis, officials said in a Sept. 10 news release. The material — a high-temperature rubber accelerator — can address specific functional needs in both solid and foam rubber application in natural or synthetic rubber form, they added.
Customers who previously purchased Trimene Base from Addivant won't need to requalify the material, since all previous parameters and manufacturing processes will remain the same.
Addivant opened a new corporate headquarters in Danbury in May. In the last 18 months, the firm has added production capacity at plants in Saudi Arabia and South Korea.
Addivant — a unit of private equity firm SK Capital — employs 500 at 11 plants worldwide.
