Engel Machinery Inc. in York, Pa., will hold Scientific Molder 1 Certification Sept. 22-27, with more than 20 hours of hands-on machine time and an equal amount of classroom instruction.
Attendees will learn how to set up and run a molding machines, the correct ways to set up and run new combinations of machines and molds, how do duplicate or transfer machine setups to any machine, and understand the behavior of plastics.
A sixth day is optional for attendees who want formal certification.
The cost is $2,695.
The one-week training program is for molders with existing experience who want to learn scientific molding and apply this knowledge using screw position switchover processing techniques.
