Orbis Corp., a maker of reusable plastic packaging, increased its use of recycled resin by nearly 15 percent in 2013, according to new information from the company.
Orbis is a subsidiary of Menasha Corp., and Menasha is out with its social responsibility report covering 2013 and 2014 that highlights a variety of advances, including the 14.8 percent increase in recycled resin use compared with 2012 numbers.
“Orbis relentlessly looks at our own processes to identify and execute sustainable manufacturing practices. In addition, we assist our customers in their efforts to utilize returnable packaging to reduce their carbon footprint and achieve operational efficiencies by analyzing every aspect of their supply chain,” said Christopher Shepard, sustainability lead for Orbis, in a statement.
