A scene from a 1980s cop show played out in the parking lot of a Cleveland-area plastics firm on Nov. 11, as two employees helped police capture an alleged fleeing drug dealer.
Josh Ebbert and another unidentified employee of Cleveland Plastic Fabricators & Suppliers Inc. helped police apprehend Devonte Poteat in the parking lot of the firm in Euclid, Ohio, according to a Nov. 12 report on the website of Northeast Ohio Media Group.
Poteat had been fleeing the scene of an accident and was on foot when Ebbert, the other employee and police trapped him between a Jeep and the building, the report said. Cleveland police were seeking Poteat on charges of drug dealing and manslaughter. The manslaughter charge stemmed from his allegedly selling a deadly dose of heroin to a man in Cleveland in June.
Cleveland Plastic distributes and fabricates plastic rod, sheet and tubing, as well as PVC pipe. The firm has been in business since 1965.
