Europe is to get its first pan-European exhibition and conference aimed at the region's plastics recycling industry next year.
The Plastics Recycling Show Europe (PRSE), organized by PRW publisher Crain Communications Inc., will take place at the Tour & Taxis venue in Brussels on Nov. 24 and 25, 2015. PRW is a sister publication of Plastics News.
The event is supported by industry body Plastics Recyclers Europe (PRE), which also plans to hold its annual working group meetings at PRSE.
PRSE will feature a pan-European exhibition and multiple conference streams aimed at plastics recycling professionals representing machinery and equipment suppliers, handling and logistics services, waste management specialists, plastics recyclers and pre-processors, materials suppliers and industry associations.
Ton Emans, president of PRE, said in order for new recycling targets to be met the capacity for plastics recycling across the European Union must be increased.
“The Plastics Recycling Show is a fantastic opportunity to demonstrate your knowledge and expertise in collection, sorting, grinding, washing, drying and extrusion to investors, waste management companies, brand owners, converters, entrepreneurs and recyclers.
“EU and national policy makers and many other stakeholders will also visit this unique trade show in the heart of the EU in order to better understand how plastics will contribute to the circular economy.”
With 115 members PRE represents around 80 percent of Europe's mechanical recycling capacity.
