UPDATED — The identity and cause of death of a man killed in an accident at a Berry Plastics Corp. site in Henderson has been released.
Scott Greenfield, 42, of Henderson, died Dec. 8 as a result of a crushing head injury, according to the Clark County Office of the Coroner/Medical Examiner.
Berry Plastics employs approximately 180 at its Henderson facility, which is part of the company's Rigid Open Top division.
Henderson is located near Las Vegas.
Berry Plastics, in a statement earlier this week, indicated it is working with local authorities as well as the Nevada State Occupational Health and Safety Administration and other regulatory agencies investigating the death.
“The company extends its sincere condolences to the family, friends, and co-workers of our employee,” Evansville, Ind.-based Berry Plastics said in the statement.
