Tier 1 automotive supplier Lacks Enterprises Inc. has named Nick Hrnyak as its new president.
Hrnyak, previously the vice president and general manager of the company's Plastic Plate LLC division, is the first non-family member to hold the position in 40 years, according to a news release. The Grand Rapids, Mich.-based company continues to be led by CEO Richard Lacks Jr. and Chairman Kurt Lacks.
“Nick's promotion has as much to do with his professional qualifications as his ability to embrace the corporate culture, his overall character and his high integrity,” the CEO said in a statement. “Although Nick's last name is not Lacks, he is as close to an extension of the Lacks family in his core beliefs as anyone I have come across in my 40 years with this company.”
Lacks Enterprises ranks No. 9 in Plastics News' survey of North American injection molders, with molding sales of $500 million. The company makes decorative chrome trim for the automotive and appliance markets.
