SPI Blow Molding LLC is growing in two phases that will give the Columa, Mich.-based company more room for storage, warehousing and secondary assembly.
Work began in October on a 2,400-square-foot storage building to house fixtures and support equipment for the custom blow molding company.
Work is slated to be finished in “mid-December,” the company said.
A second phase will involve the addition of 6,000 square feet on the northwest corner of SPI's current production plant, the company said.
That space will be for secondary assembly, warehousing of work in progress and finished goods and room for customer supplied components, SPI said. Work on this project is expected to begin in the spring.
SPI Blow Molding is a sister company to custom injection molder SPI Industries of South Bend, Ind.
