Piedmont Plastics Inc. is moving to a larger location to serve the plastic sheet, rod, tube and film markets in the Philadelphia area.
The new site in Phoenixville, Pa., allows the distributor serving 75 commercial and industrial markets to take advantage of customer demand for local inventory and local decision-making, according to branch manager Steve Clark.
“It was very important that we move to a location where we could improve our performance as a growing business in this very promising new market for Piedmont,” Clark said in a news release.
Founded in 1968, Piedmont stocks and distributes brand-name acrylic sheet, polycarbonate, foam boards, film, flexible tubing and adhesive-backed vinyl, among others materials, for the marine, transportation, optical display and electric sign markets. The business also offers film conversion services like precision-cutting and laminating.
The privately owned company has almost 40 distribution locations in the United States, Canada and Mexico and two fabrication sites. The newest facility is at 400 Schell Lane, Phoenixville.
