Guangdong Jinming Machinery Co. Ltd. has been recognized as a global strategic development partner by ExxonMobil Chemical Co.
ExxonMobil global polymers product & applications development manager Larry Gros presented the award during a ceremony at Jinming's headquarters in Shantou, China.
The two companies started collaborating on polyethylene films in 2000. They recently agreed to further cooperate on development projects and promotion of value added solutions, Jinming said in a news release.
Gros said the cooperation has “led to many opportunities to optimize polyolefin film solutions and will continue to provide a foundation for future success.”
“This will be a winning solution benefitting ExxonMobil, Jinming and the customers,” said Ma Zhenxin, president of Jinming.
Jinming is a leading Chinese manufacturer of blown film lines. Earlier this year, it announced the exclusive licensing of Dow Chemical Co.'s polyvinylidene chloride (PVDC) processing technology.
BASF and Jinming also joined forces earlier this year to develop better film packaging.
Last year Jinming formed a strategic partnership with Davis-Standard LLC to help each other grow their global footprint as well as to jointly develop products.
