In editorial, Toloken has been named news editor-international, which is a new title.

Toloken served for nine years as PN's full-time staff reporter in Washington before he left for Hong Kong in 2006, initially has a freelance correspondent. In 2007 he moved to Guangzhou, and he rejoined PN as a full-time staff reporter and Asia bureau chief in 2008.
Toloken has covered news in dozens of cities in China, as well as in Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, India, Thailand, Brazil, Singapore, Malaysia, Mexico, Poland, Hungary, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Germany.
In his new role Toloken will continue to report, plus help coordinate PN's international coverage outside North America and China.
Toloken moved back to the U.S. in 2014, and he currently is based in suburban Washington. He has a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Illinois.
In the integrated marketing department, a new role for Nicole LaPointe has resulted in promotions for Winkler, Hershfield and Potts.
Starting Jan. 19, PN events director LaPointe will become corporate relations director for PN's parent company, Crain Communications Inc.
As a result, Winkler has been promoted to PN's marketing and events director. She will take on responsibility for logistics and event planning, in addition to her current marketing role.
