Toy manufacturer and rotational molder Step2 LLC has picked consumer products veteran Chris Quinn as its new CEO and president.
Quinn took the job effective Jan. 12, according to a news release from the company. He succeeds Tom Doherty, who had been serving as the company's interim CEO since April 2014.
Step2 of Streetsboro, Ohio, is the largest rotomolder in North America, according to Plastics News rankings, with $170 million in rotational molding sales in 2013. It has 800 employees and two plants.
Before joining Step2, Quinn was executive vice president, North America for New Balance Athletic. He has also held senior-level positions with Procter & Gamble Co., Mars Inc. and Clorox Co.
“His skills around improving customer interaction, brand awareness and product innovation are perfect for elevating Step2 to a new level of success,” the release said.
Quinn and his wife, Rosanna, will be moving to Northeast Ohio from Boston.
