LEE'S SUMMIT, MO. — R&D/Leverage, a mold maker and brand development firm, has formed a partnership with Hughes Design Group, a South Norwalk, Conn.-based visual branding and packaging design firm.
The partnership is a move further into packaging design for Lee's Summit-based R&D. The company made a big move in that direction in 2008, when it added a structural brand development arm, dubbed Leverage.
“Our holistic approach smoothly and efficiently integrates all elements of the process,” said Jason Husk, director of business development at R&D/Leverage, in a news release. The company serves customers in the food and beverage, home and personal care, and health-care industries. On the tooling front, it makes molds for PET containers, injection blow molding and injection molding.
Hughes Design Group has 30 years of experience in visual branding, retail presence and packaging design. Founder and President Barney Hughes said the partnership will help streamline the design and branding process for packaging customers.
