Environmental Recycling Technologies plc, the United Kingdom-based patent rights holder to the powder impression molding (PIM) process, has licensed its technology to Earth Enterprises Inc. for use in the U.S. on a non-exclusive basis.
The move means Johnstown, Colo.-based company can make and sell flat sheet product in the U.S. using the PIM technology.
Earth Enterprises, which operates as Waste-Not Recycling, is described by ERT as an experienced provider of comprehensive recycling services.
It will pay South Leigh, England-based ERT $150,000, plus an annual royalty based on the volume of products sold. The firm expects to make 40,000 units a year.
ERT managing director Lee Clayton said the move was “another positive step in the roll-out of our flat sheet capability in North America”.
He went on: “Earth Enterprises is known for its focus on new manufacturing opportunities for materials that are normally viewed as being un-recyclable.”
