ANAHEIM, CALIF. — Custom injection molder and tooling supplier Pacific Plastics of Vista, Calif., recorded its "best year" in 2014 with sales of $3.2 million vs. 2013's $2.4 million.
President Jae English credits increased demand for its clients' consumer products including a spear gun, an iPhone lens attachment now available in Apple Inc. stores and a children's beach toy. English was interviewed Feb. 11 at the UBM Canon trade shows in Anaheim.
Pacific Plastics added two Fortune injection machines in mid-2014, one with 110 tons of clamping force and one with 275 tons. The firm employs 30, occupies 20,000 square feet and now operates 11 presses with clamping forces of 33-500 tons.
