The shareholders of Cinpres Gas Injection Ltd. have announced that a license and support agreement has been entered into with newly-formed Cinpres UK Ltd.
The deal will cover the licensing of its technology and the provision of warranty cover on existing equipment.
Cinpres UK Ltd. is a newly formed company headed by ex-Cinpres Gas Injection Ltd. director Brian Brookshaw.
The agreement provides the new company with full access to Cinpres' intellectual property portfolio including the Pep (Plastic Expulsion Process) overspill patent.
The new company will provide warranty cover and support services to former Cinpres Gas Injection Ltd. customers and also supply new gas assisted molding equipment; Cinpres licenses; spare parts; and design engineering support services to new and existing customers on a worldwide basis.
Brian Brookshaw said: “We recognized the need for on-going support for Cinpres' existing customer base and the general requirement for the brand to be able to continue to offer equipment, spares and technical support in addition to access to Cinpres' extensive IP portfolio, albeit under a different management structure.”
Back in August 2014, Middlewich, England-based Cinpres announced it had ceased manufacturing of its gas injection molding systems.
