Vista Windows Co. has expanded in Swainsboro, Ga., with a new 57,000-square foot facility and plans to create 50 jobs and invest $2 million into the operation in the next year.
Founded in 2001 and based in Lordstown, Ohio, Vista makes vinyl replacement windows and patio doors at three manufacturing sites that are sold through a network of distribution partners and specialty remodelers.
The Swainsboro expansion will allow the company to fabricate and assemble windows as well as move its insulated glass line to the facility. Vista closed on its acquisition of the insulating glass assets of Caliber Glass LLC, which was based in Solon, Ohio, in March 2014.
Vista also makes windows in Lordstown and it has a specialty division producing thermal-coated products, patio doors, and bay and bow windows in Warren, Ohio.
Swainsboro was an attractive location for an expansion because of its proximity to transportation infrastructure in the Southeastern United States, according to Ken Warnock, CEO of the Swainsboro-Emmanuel County Chamber of Commerce and Joint Development Authority.
“This allows companies like Vista to efficiently serve their growing client base in the most cost effective way while producing a high quality for its consumers,” Warnock said in a news release.
Vista is owned by JP Capital Management, a private equity firm that acquires and operates middle-market companies.
