The smaller-capacity line will be used primarily as a development resource to serve customers of the company's portfolio of thermoplastic additives, officials said in a March 23 news release.
By selecting a small, but commercial-scale extruder, Addcomp also will be able to produce sample-size quantities of 25 to 50 pounds from raw materials on hand, in case a requested formulation isn't already in inventory, President Louis Martin said in the release.
Addcomp also has added research staff to increase the amount of application development, new product development and additive research that can be done in Rochester Hills.
