The world's second largest plastics trade show is trying to pivot its focus toward efficient manufacturing with the least amount of resources, as well as designing and making unique products, according to Adsale Exhibition Services Ltd.
Chinaplas 2015, which will be held May 20-23 in Guangzhou, is highlighting the theme with three concurrent events:
Design x Innovation
Aiming to demonstrate how combining plastics with creative design can yield sustainable and innovative solutions, the event will showcase a range of products including auto parts, building materials, consumer goods, apparels and housewares.
Internationally known engineering and product designers will share their award-winning works and experiences. The event is brought by Chinaplas organizer Adsale and partner BASF SE.
Robot parade, smart production
A live demonstration of robots and fully automated production lines at the fairground will illustrate the function, precision and flexibility of robotics.
Also, an “Industrial Automation Zone” in Hall 4.2 will showcase robotics, automation systems and peripherals, remote control systems, drives, sensors, arm tooling and software, etc. Featured suppliers will include ABB, Wittmann Battenfeld, Honeywell, Rockwell, Siemens, Mitsubishi Electrics, and Shini.
Medical plastics conference
The two-day conference, May 21-22, will provide a focused platform for suppliers and engineers of medical devices manufacturers, OEMs, and end users to share technology and to network. Speakers from suppliers, associations, research institutes and brand owners will discuss technical breakthroughs, market trends and product designs.
“Chinaplas is not simply a procurement and networking platform, but a place to enrich professional knowledge. We are always sensitive to the market movements and bring in new elements each year to keep visitors staying on the top of the market,” said Ada Leung, general manager of Adsale, in a statement.
Chinaplas 2015 will feature more than 3,100 exhibitors from 40 countries.
