ORLANDO, FLA. — TSM Control Systems is teaming up with Kdesign GmbH to launch a technical partnership that can offer an overall line control system for blown film producers.
“We now have a more holistic offering so that we can go to the customers with a complete solution. More and more customers are looking for way to deal with just a single supplier,” said Richard O'Callahan, general manager of TSM.
He said the combination will open up more opportunities for both companies in the United States, as well as in Asia. He expected it will be particularly appealing to OEMs that also have Asian operations.
The two companies unveiled a Kdesign air ring at NPE 2015.
TSM, which started in 1978 and is based in Dundalk, Ireland, has participated in 10 NPEs. It concentrates on supplying gravimetric blending and control systems. It also has regional offices in Alpharetta, Ga.; Taichung City, Taiwan; and Guangzhou, China.
Kdesign is based in Koenigswinter, Germany, and employs 34. TSM has 37 employees.
“Our focus is on air rings, gauge control systems and calibration for the blown film market,” said Hans-Gerd Fahling, managing director of Kdesign.
“Our products are used for very small lines, like very small tubes for medical uses, up to the biggest dies for agriculture,” Fahling said.
