Freudenberg-NOK Sealing Technologies is planning a 43,000-square-foot expansion to its automotive sealing facility in Findlay, Ohio, the company announced.
The Findlay facility produces 185 million seals and related components annually, a company news release indicates. The expansion, scheduled to be completed by winter 2015, will boost the plant's compression and injection molding operations, increasing production by an estimated 25 percent per year. About $8.6 million will be invested in construction and equipment upgrades, and a possible 25 new jobs may be added to the plant's existing 148, pending the formal approval of workforce and incentive programs from the State of Ohio, the company said.
Headquartered in Plymouth, Mich., Freudenberg-NOK is a joint venture between Germany's Freudenberg and Co. and Japan's NOK Corp., operating more than 20 facilities throughout the Americas.
A formal groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for June at the Findlay facility.
