Minneapolis-based Aspen Research Corp., which exhibited at NPE 2015, announced the creation of a new senior product management team.
Aspen is a material science and analytical services company. The company is expanding its proprietary materials in addition to collaborating with clients and development partners.
The firm has named Frank Popola as acting chief operating officer. He also will manage new product development and commercialization. Popola is currently a principal of the Process Solutions Group and a member of the InnovaNet Group, was formerly director of biopolymer manufacturing and development with Metabolix Inc.
Davis Lee, currently the founding partner of the InnovaNet Group, was appointed as Aspen's acting director of product technology.
Chuck Fisher is Aspen's new director of supply chain.
They join Roger Pearson, president of analytical services.
“We've recruited the right people to help us build out our product portfolio,” said Rick Burnton, Aspen's president and CEO. “With the senior product development team in place, we're now focused on delivery quality compounds to the market faster and more cost-effectively.”
Aspen's 106,000-square-foot headquarters includes a full-service laboratory, product development, pilot compounding and commercial-scale manufacturing.
Burnton said the company is commercializing a new product line of materials that it showcased at NPE 2015.
