Germany-based Mauser Group, an industrial packaging producer, has announced that it has acquired the Brazilian plastic drum and IBC business of Greif Inc.
The amount invested in the acquisition has not been disclosed.
“We are very pleased with the addition of these plastic drum and IBC customers, we see tremendous opportunity here in Brazil and plan to continue our strategy of growing across all our market segments,” said Ricardo Goldenberg, president and CEO of Mauser Brazil.
Mauser, based in Bruehl, Germany, states that the investment reaffirms its commitment to the Brazilian marketplace but also to growing its business globally. The company says that the transition to “Mauser-produced” solutions in the new acquisition will be completed by early June 2015.

Our goal is 100 percent customer satisfaction, so during this period we will work with all the customers to ensure we provide them with the best solutions and value the market has to offer.”
Mauser employed approximately 4,400 people in 2014 and reported global sales of 1.3 billion euros ($1.46 billion).
