The HRSflow Division of Inglass Group SpA, working with Autodesk, has developed a way to use Moldflow to simulate the gradual opening and closing of its FLEXflow valve gate nozzles. That predicts pressure reduction and the associated reduction in closing force. Also, users now will be able to determine opening strokes (valve positions), and opening and closing times and speeds of FLEXflow valve gate nozzles, using Moldflow filling analysis.
The data can be transmitted to a first basic setting to the HRSFlow control, which the company claims significantly speeds up first mold validation.
The companies tested the technology molding an automotive rear spoiler, running on a seven-fold hot runner mold. That verified the Moldflow simulation data.
HRSFlow is based in San Polo de Piave, Italy.
