BSW Machinery, a subsidiary of Windmöller & Hölscher KG, has installed a high-speed woven bag conversion machine, a converTex SLC, in Vietnam, at Sadico in Can Tho.
Sadico makes woven polypropylene sacks, supplied to cement manufacturers in Vietnam. The converTex can produce 120 block bottom valve bags per minute.
The Sadico AD proTex bags are an alternative to the presently used sewn sacks made from a combination of paper and woven PP. the sacks are lighter and they avoid the need for sewing or gluing of the sack with adhesives. Instead, the W&H patent allows Sadico to seal a block-bottom valve sack using hot air.
W&H is based in Lengerich, Germany. It's U.S. operation, Windmoeller & Hoelscher Corp., is in Lincoln, R.I.
