The Society of Plastics Engineers' Thermoforming Division has issued a call for entries into its annual parts competition, a highlight of the 24th SPE Thermoforming Conference, Aug. 31-Sept. 2 in Atlanta.
Parts are displayed at the conference show floor.
Winning parts will be recognized at a dinner Sept. 1.
The deadline to submit entries is July 31.
Categories include: Roll fed for industrial, medical or food; heavy-gauge for vacuum-form, heavy-gauge for pressure-form; and two new heavy-gauge categories, of twin-sheet and TPO.
Under a “combined” category, entrants can submit parts with a minimum of 40 percent recycled content, which includes value-added assembly and represents innovation.
Matt O'Hagan is the 2015 parts competition chairman.
“Along with an exciting group of technical session speakers and in-depth thin-gauge, heavy-gauge and extrusion workshops, we expect this year's part submissions will showcase the continual procession of success stories in our industry,” he said.
Guidelines for the parts contest are posted online at http://thermoformingdivision.com/parts-competition/guidelinesentry-form. All product images must be emailed to O'Hagan by the July 31 deadline: [email protected].
