China's Yingkou Kanghui Petrochemical Co. Ltd. has launched six Brückner BOPET packaging film lines that use direct film casting technology as well as a corresponding regranulation equipment and a BOPET thick film line.
Kanghui is now able to make BOPET packaging films in a wide thickness range up to 188µm, as a successful diversification into the film business.
Brückner said the direct film casting technology without main extrusion brings production cost savings from transport, logistics, personnel and efficient energy use.
Kanghui Managing Director Liu Jian commented that the integration of poly-condensation, stretching line and regranulation system was perfectly performed, and the stretching lines have been running 100 percent reliably.
Kanghui is a subsidiary of Hengli Group, one of the largest weaving and yarn manufacturers in the world. Kanghui itself is a leading PBT resin and BOPET producer.
The release added that the multi-billion yuan investment in film stretching technology make Kanghui a big player in the film production industry from the start.
