Munich-based KraussMaffei Group sold its 2,000th MX injection press to automotive molder Sanko Gosei in Lancashire, United Kingdom.
The MX line of two-platen machines has a hydromechanical clamping unit. The locking system is designed for short cycles with precision positioning.
The MX press delivered to Sanko Gosei has a clamping force of 1,300 metric tons. It has a bold-on injection unit in the L design. Sanko Gosei will use the machine to mold multi-component parts out of polypropylene and thermoplastic elastomer.
KraussMaffei equipped the injection press with an LRX 350 linear robot.
The machinery maker's U.S. headquarters, KraussMaffei Corp., is in Florence, Ky.
