United Kindom-based HellermannTyton plc has launched the construction of its first production facility in Poland.
The project in Kotunia will be built by Skanska, and it is estimated to be worth some 40 million Polish zloty ($10.5 million), the construction company said in a statement. The production hall will be fitted with a total floorspace of 13,000 square meters.
HellermannTyton makes a wide range of cable ties, clips, clamps, plugs and insulation products with the use of plastics. These include PVC, polystyrene, polyethylene and polypropylene.
Under the plan, the facility in Kotunia will have an output capacity of 4,300 metric tons of plastic parts per year.
HellermannTyton, based in Crawley, England, has production facilities in 12 locations in ten countries, which make around 20,000 products. The group had a total of 3,808 employees worldwide as at 31 December 2014.
The publically-traded company posted sales of more than $727 million for 2014.
